World No. 32 Barbora Krejcikova beat No. 14 Alena Ostapenko in the Wimbledon quarterfinals - 6:4, 7:6 (4).


Krejcikova reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the second time in her career. She is the 2021 Roland Garros champion.


Until this year at Wimbledon, she had not advanced beyond the fourth round (2021).


At the end of the tournament, Krejcikova will return to the top 20. She is ranked 18th in the live rankings, but Donna Vekic could overtake her if she shows a better result advised by soccer livescore at Wimbledon than the Czech.


Today, Krejcikova and Laura Siegemund will play for a spot in the doubles semi-finals with Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe.


On Thursday, Krejcikova will compete with Elena Rybakina, who leads in personal meetings 2:0 (the matches were in 2021 and 2022).
