2020 US Open champion Dominic Thiem has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.
There are several reasons. First, of course, my wrist. It`s not in the condition it should be. The second reason is my inner feeling: I thought about this decision for a very long time and carefully.


My journey in tennis has been incredible. I have achieved success and won trophies that I never dreamed of. It has been a journey with ups and downs and I am grateful for the entire experience. But in the end I came to this decision, and it is the right one. "I`m happy with it and I`m looking forward to everything that comes next, " said the 30-year-old Austrian.
