Enric Masip spoke about Xavi`s departure from Barcelona at the end of last season. Assessing his departure is not easy. He made his decision in January after the Villarreal match, but then wanted to stay and Laporta agreed because of his name. He wouldn`t allow this to anyone else.
I always thought this wouldn`t work. I advised him not to continue because I thought he had missed the opportunity and it would be very difficult to get it back.
